Ideal candidates have 3+ years in commercial Property underwriting, strong risk-coverage analysis, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. Travel is moderate, and the role offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial Property underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting Middle Market and/or E&S Property business preferred.
• Ability to analyze risk exposures, evaluate coverage needs, and make sound underwriting decisions.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Uses independent judgment to support departmental production, retention, and profitability goals.
• Reviews, analyzes, and underwrites new and renewal business within authority and guidelines.
• Evaluates exposures, coverage requests, loss experience, and financial information for risk acceptability.
• Analyzes coverage and limit requests and develops underwriting terms aligned with objectives.
• Prices business in accordance with guidelines and profitability targets.
• Maintains relationships with agents, brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to attract profitable business.
