Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Property Billing Specialist to own billing, accounting, and operational administration for complex Property accounts within the National Property Practice.

You will liaise with Brokers, Risk Analysts, Billing, and Carriers to coordinate billing, resolve issues, and keep account teams informed, while leveraging Excel and Smartsheet to maintain accurate records and timely invoicing.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, or 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Proven bookkeeping experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of commercial insurance operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review billing instructions for completeness and accuracy and submit billing requests.
• Maintain information in Smartsheet and ensure correct coding.
• Deliver invoices to clients and track payments with Receivables.
• Support timely payments with Payables and respond to inquiries.
• Resolve billing issues during renewals and other periods.
• Provide status updates to account teams and support billing operations.
• Develop and maintain billing procedures and templates.
• Follow up with carriers for binding documentation.
• Check initial policy upon receipt and deliver policies to clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
