Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary education in business, accounting, economics, public administration, construction technology or training.
• One year of job-related experience.
• Montana certification in residential property appraisal preferred within first year.

Responsibilities

• Conduct residential property reviews, field appraisals, and data research to determine final valuations.
• Review tax records, land use, and valuation documents to identify appraisal needs.
• Respond to taxpayer inquiries and explain appraisal activities; assist with dispute resolution and hearings.
