Job summary

Bexar County Public Works is seeking a Real Estate Specialist to manage acquisition and disposition of real property for County projects. The role includes reviewing titles, appraisals, and property boundaries, and assisting with leases.

Under supervision, you will negotiate with property owners, coordinate with the District Attorney's Office on legal documents, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance throughout real estate activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus two years of college coursework in real estate or related field, with four years of real estate experience.
• Knowledge of land descriptions, titles, appraisal methods, and real estate law.
• Ability to negotiate, communicate clearly, and work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist negotiations with property owners to acquire or dispose of real property for County projects.
• Perform title curative functions and prepare/obtain necessary documents to clear titles.
• Review property boundaries, surveys, and appraisals; coordinate with DA's Office on legal forms.
• Prepare weekly production reports and track project status.
