Bexar County is seeking a Real Estate Specialist to manage acquisition and disposition of real property for county projects. Under general supervision, you will assist with leases, title curative functions, and review real estate appraisals.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED plus two years of college in real estate, business admin, or related field.
• At least four years of experience in real estate activities (negotiations, appraisals, title work, property management) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of land descriptions, property titles, and appraisal methods.
• Computer skills and ability to use basic software.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with coworkers, officials, and the public.
• Must pass background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.
• Must have a valid Texas driver's license.
• Overtime possible (>40 hours).

• Assist with negotiations with property owners to acquire or dispose of real property for County projects.
• Perform title curative tasks: releases, resolutions, court orders, and documents to clear titles.
• Review property boundaries and surveys for accuracy.
• Review appraisals by staff and outside contractors.
• Prepare weekly production reports and update project status reports.
• Coordinate with District Attorney's Office on proposals and legal documents.
• Plot metes and bounds descriptions for property boundaries and review surveys for accuracy.
• Assist management with property leases.
• Investigate claims concerning the County's interest in property.
• Performs related duties as required.
