The Accounting Manager serves as the main point of contact for third-party clients and acts as the intermediary between operations and accounting departments. Responsibilities include weekly payable processing and initiating all necessary bank wires/ACHs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and oversee a team of Financial Accountants.
2. Ensure timely financial closing and review reports for accuracy.
3. Act as the primary contact for third-party clients.
4. Collaborate on projects and issue resolution with the Operations team.
5. Monitor revenue and expenses, and process weekly payables.
6. Initiate bank wires and ACH transactions.
7. Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
8. Lead onboarding/offboarding of properties and clients.
9. Oversee tax filings, insurance payments, and year-end reporting.
10. Manage audit requests and financial documentation.
11. Identify process improvements to increase efficiency.
12. Support additional projects as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookup).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required).
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• 5–6 years of experience in property management and accounting.
• Experience with multifamily or commercial properties.
• Proficiency in Yardi or similar software.

Physical Requirements

• Standard office activities: typing, sitting, standing, walking.
• Work involves mental and visual focus, in a typical office environment.
• Work environment is generally quiet to moderate noise levels.
