Summary:
This position provides consulting and financial expertise to department leaders and others in understanding financial issues and in developing operational plans to achieve short- and long-term enterprise-wide organizational financial goals. Leverages unique expertise to identify and drive change related to key indicators of sound financial, strategic, and operational planning, resulting in economic growth and service excellence. This position is responsible for developing meaningful relationships with multiple operational leaders to drive financial performance. Responsibilities include the development, distribution and discussion of financial metrics, reports and analyses; providing financial expertise for the creation and monitoring of the budget/financial forecast; and creating financial impact assessments related to and in support of operational decision making.Teaches, coaches, and mentors operational leaders in financial concepts to achieve enterprise financial goals. Provides leadership to members across the organization through shared commitment to Children's mission, values and strategic priorities.
Responsibilities:
* Fosters meaningful relationships with Operational Leaders with the goal of achieving financial performance expectations
* Leverages excellent communication skills to serve as a change agent, understanding and articulating underlying goals and benefits, working through challenging situations, creating a shared sense of purpose and collaboration with operational leaders.
* Communicates difficult concepts and, when necessary, negotiates with others to develop shared goals.
* Innovates and brings ideas to the forefront to inform financial goals.
* Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy as well as part of a team. Understands team dynamics and peer’s character strengths. Leverages understanding to share information, collaborate and elevate self and team’s work.
* Teaches and mentors operational leaders about financial reports and how to find supporting detail. Educates in financial methodologies to raise financial acumen throughout the organization and sustain positive financial progress.
* Develops and implements standard reporting and communication processes with operational leaders and their teams.
* Financial Analysis/Expertise
* Ability to extract, organize and analyze large data sets and distill into executive-level summaries. Build sophisticated financial models to determine financial impacts and guide decision making.
* Analyze significant financial metrics, display innovation and initiative to proactively identify key drivers and trends and investigate to understand root causes.
* Provide consulting and financial expertise to department heads in understanding financial variances and in developing operational/remediation plans
* Stay abreast of the changing healthcare financial landscape; analyze its immediate and future impact to CHST financial health
How You’ll Be Successful:
WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 5 years financial planning experience Required
EDUCATION
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required
* Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Preferred
