Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with accounting emphasis.
• Experience with US GAAP and SOX controls.
• Ability to lead and train the Property Accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting and financial reporting for fixed assets, construction and development, property operating expenses, and related cost recoveries.
• Train and assist the Property Accounting team across functions.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies, including internal controls.
• Document policies, procedures, and continuously identify process improvements.
• Develop metrics to monitor team performance and provide feedback.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the Property Accounting team and foster collaboration with other accounting groups.
• Deliver accurate financial statements and communicate with internal stakeholders.
