Job summary

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and 2–3 years in property management accounting. Proficiency in Yardi and Excel is essential; onsite work with up to 10% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience in property management or affordable housing environments.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting.
• Experience preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
• Familiarity with HUD, Tax Credit (LIHTC), or Rural Development reporting preferred.
• Proficiency with Yardi and Microsoft Excel; ability to perform detailed bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Provide full cycle accounting for an assigned portfolio of properties.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reporting packages.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage cash flow for the portfolio and various funding sources.
• Process replacement reserves according to each property's funding source.
• Review Accounts Receivable and finalize tenant move-outs.
• Assist with annual Tax Credit/Rural Development forms.
• Support coworker coverage and general team tasks as needed.
