Atlantic Group is seeking a Property Accountant in Boston to support property-level financials, budgets, and reporting. You will work with finance, leasing, development, and operations to ensure accurate financial performance across a portfolio of commercial real estate properties.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Accounting and 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably with CRE clients. Proficiency in Excel and general ledger principles is essential, with a plus for MRI, AvidXchange,

Salary: $85k-$95k + Bonus

We’re partnering with a growing real estate organization to identify a Property Accountant to join its expanding accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundation in accounting, strong analytical skills, and an interest in commercial real estate to gain hands‑on exposure to property‑level financials, budgeting, and reporting.

Working closely with teams across finance, leasing, development, and property operations, you’ll play an important role in supporting the financial performance of a portfolio of commercial real estate properties.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly general ledger activities and support accurate financial reporting under GAAP and tax accounting standards.
• Prepare and review property‑level financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Handle tenant billings, including utilities, common area maintenance (CAM), percentage rent, and real estate taxes.
• Support cash management, annual audits, and tax return preparation.
• Assist with REIT compliance testing and related accounting activities.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with teams across leasing, construction, development, legal, and property operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Approximately 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting with commercial real estate clients.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial statements, and core accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Experience with MRI, AvidXchange, or Anaplan is a plus.
