Job summary

CFS is seeking a Property Accountant to manage accounting for a portfolio of residential properties in Cumberland, GA. Enter monthly financial statements, record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze variances to support portfolio performance.

You'll use RealPage extensively and collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 3+ years in real estate/property accounting are preferred; strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Property accounting or real estate accounting experience required.
• Must have experience with RealPage.
• Experience working with accounting and property management software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Previous experience as a Property Accountant is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties as a Property Accountant
• Record journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger activity
• Complete account reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances
• Utilize RealPage for accounting, reporting, and property financial management
• Support audit requests and respond to financial inquiries
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting initiatives expected of a Property Accountant
