Segers Aero Corporation in Fairhope, AL is hiring a Blade Technician for 2nd shift to prepare, repair, and ship propellers. The role is safety-sensitive and requires compliance with FAA/DOT regulations.

You will grind, polish, measure, document, and package blades, using cranes and hazardous materials handling as part of a skilled maintenance team. Compensation ranges from $23 to $35 per hour with full benefits; four 10-hour days workweek and paid lunch.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on craft experience in a related field.
• Ability to pass background check and DOT/FAA drug screen.
• Safety-sensitive position per DOT/FAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Grinds and polishes propeller blades; inspects for defects.
• Preps, packages, and ships blades per overhaul standards.
• Reads and records measurements; maintains documentation.
• Operates crane for moving blades; handles chemical applications safely.
• Maintains clean, safe workspace and adheres to FOD prevention.
• Assists with equipment changes and process improvements.
