Segers Aero Corporation in Fairhope, AL is seeking a Blade Technician for the 2nd shift to prepare, repair, and ship propellers. The role involves grinding, measuring, painting, and curing components, with heavy emphasis on safety and quality control.

The position requires 1 year of related experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to read SDS/technical data sheets. This is a safety‑sensitive, full‑time role with benefits and a four‑day workweek (Mon–Thu 2pm–midnight).

Qualifications

• Must provide and maintain personal toolbox per Tool Control Plan.
• Proficient with various hand tools and GSE used for maintenance tasks.
• Ability to read SDS and Technical Data Sheets for safe paint mixing.
• Ability to use scales for mixing ratios and read graphs.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work with PPE.
• Must communicate in English; follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Grind and polish propeller blades.
• Print and record required documentation; pack blades for shipment.
• Remove components and measure blade dimensions per manuals.
• Operate crane to move blades between stations.
• Mix and apply paints, cure cuffs, and stencil blade cuffs.
• Inspect blades for defects; maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Travel as required; attend safety trainings.
