Eastern is a family-owned propane and oil company serving New England. The role ensures safe reconditioning of propane containers daily, performing steps like purging, sandblasting, testing and painting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Refurbish propane vessels: moving, purging, sandblasting, de-valving, hydrostatic testing and painting.
• Maintain propane vessels and valves to ensure leak-free service.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report to supervisor immediately.
• Interact with customers and co-workers in a respectful manner.
• Attend safety and staff meetings as required.
• Maintain sandblast machines in safe operating order.
• Be receptive to and competent with new technologies.
• Work with safety-sensitive protocols and meet seasonal schedule needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

About this opportunity

This position ensures the safe reconditioning of propane containers on a daily basis. There are several steps involved in this process, which must be done systematically to produce the completed product.

What your role will look like

• Refurbish propane vessels; includes moving, purging, sandblasting, de-valving, performing hydrostatic testing and painting
• Maintain all propane vessels and valves to ensure they are leak-free prior to being available for service
• Due to equipment, fuels and other products being utilized, this individual must remain alert and focused and otherwise complete work in a safe manner, including reporting of any unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
• Interact with customers and co-workers in a respectful and courteous manner and maintain confidentiality of all customer information
• Participate in all safety and staff meetings, as required
• Maintain sandblast machines in optimum and safe operating order
• Be receptive of and competently use new technologies
• Function effectively and efficiently in this safety sensitive position
• Regular attendance and punctuality adherence to a schedule that meets the needs of the department which increase on a seasonal basis
• Be receptive to and competently use new technologies
• Other duties as assigned
