Job summary

Blumont Energy in Radford, VA is seeking a Service Technician to join our team. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain propane appliances and systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers, ensuring safe, code-compliant work.

This position requires a high school diploma, a valid Class B CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements preferred, and a clean driving record. The role offers a full-time schedule with flexible hours and after-hours support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
• Excellent driving record.
• Demonstrated knowledge of propane systems and safety.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain propane appliances and systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
• Support customers by installing gas service lines, setting tanks, and changing regulators.
• Run gas service lines and ensure installations comply with safety regulations.
• Assist with bulk propane deliveries and operate tank trucks and trailers per DOT requirements.
• Perform light maintenance on vehicles, grounds, and facilities.
• Complete service tickets, work orders, and records of work performed.
• Provide professional communication and customer support; act as a trusted resource to customers.
• Support emergency response and after-hours service calls as required.
