Parker Oil Propane is hiring Service Technicians to join our Burkeville team. You will set propane tanks, install gas lines, perform leak and pressure tests, and troubleshoot gas appliances while delivering safe, reliable service to customers.

The role is hands-on, customer-facing, and requires strong safety awareness. You will train as needed and participate in on-call rotations to support community propane needs.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills, able to communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners.
• Physical ability to perform tasks (lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, climbing, kneeling, crawling).
• Ability to detect leaks by hearing and smell.
• Skilled with hand and power tools and job-specific equipment.
• Safety-first mindset with commitment to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set, and install propane tanks and gas lines per codes and safety standards.
• Drive and operate service vehicles (vans, boom trucks).
• Conduct leak and pressure tests to ensure system safety.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas-burning appliances.
• Complete compliance paperwork and work orders.
• Educate customers with propane safety packets and walkthroughs.
• Operate trenchers and equipment for line installation safely.
• Train and mentor helpers in techniques and safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and professional appearance.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.

About the Role

We’re looking for Service Technicians to join our team and help deliver safe, reliable propane services to our customers. This role is hands-on and customer-facing — you’ll be setting propane tanks, installing gas lines, performing leak and pressure tests, and troubleshooting gas-burning appliances.

What You’ll Do
