Job summary

ThompsonGas is seeking a Propane Service Technician in Rogersville, MO to safely deliver, repair, and install propane systems while delivering excellent customer service. This full-time role requires experience with propane installations and strong safety practices.

The position involves tank delivery, trenching, piping, leak testing, and documenting work on a tablet, with on-call rotations and outdoor exposure in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid CDL-A or CDL-B.
• Valid Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required.
• 2+ years of propane or related crossover experience (HVAC, gas fitting, plumbing, mechanic).
• Knowledge of propane safety regulations and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to lift propane tanks up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
• Availability to work on-call rotations including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Tank delivery and placement at customer sites using company vehicle.
• Excavation and trenching for underground propane lines per code.
• Piping installation and connections to tanks and appliances.
• Leak detection and testing with appropriate tools and pressure checks.
• Explain installation details to customers and address safety questions.
• Document installation reports and compliance checklists on a tablet.
• Provide clear customer service and communication throughout.
