Job summary

ThompsonGas seeks a Propane Service Technician to safely deliver, repair, and install propane systems and appliances while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role requires CDL endorsements, propane safety knowledge, and the ability to lift tanks and work outdoors in various conditions. On-call rotations and precise tablet documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• CDL-A or CDL-B with tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• 2+ years propane or related crossover experience.
• Deep understanding of propane safety regulations and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Tank Delivery and Placement: Transport propane tanks to customer sites using a company vehicle, carefully maneuver and position tanks in designated areas.
• Excavation and Trenching: Dig trenches for underground propane lines, ensuring proper depth and distance per codes.
• Piping Installation: Cut, measure, and install propane lines, connecting them to the tank and appliances.
• Leak Detection and Testing: Inspect connections for leaks and perform pressure tests for system integrity.
• Customer Interaction: Explain installation details and safety procedures to customers and answer questions.
• Documentation: Complete installation reports and customer information on a tablet.
• Customer Service Skills: Communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
