Job summary

Central Farm Service (CFS) is seeking a propane service team member in Tennessee to install, inspect, and service propane tanks, equipment, and systems while delivering outstanding customer service. You will educate customers on safe propane use and ensure accurate invoicing and timely paperwork.

The role requires adherence to safety policies, ability to work independently or in a team, and a valid CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements.

Qualifications

• One year relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates ability to do the job.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, customers and the general public.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self- motivated/self -directed.
• Ability to make independent judgments with moderate impact on the organization.
• Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Maintain a valid CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements. Maintain air brake endorsement with class B CDL.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect and service customer propane tanks, equipment and systems following all codes of standards and regulations.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Educate customers on the safe use of propane and appliances.
• Accurately complete all invoices and related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Make routine sales calls.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report all maintenance items to supervisor.
• Maintain equipment in operational and cleanly appearances at all times.
• Assist with other operations – propane delivery.
• Know and follow all company safety policies/procedure. Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations.
• Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance.
• Make decisions and follow instructions with little or no supervision.
• Perform other duties and projects as requested by supervisor or management
