Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team at the Hope Valley, RI customer service center. You will perform propane service, tank installations, and routine maintenance while ensuring safety and quality for our customers.

You will respond to emergencies, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate with a cross-functional team including service managers, dispatchers, and drivers.

Qualifications

• Propane journeyman license required.
• CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement preferred.
• HVAC familiarity preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the US required; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Identify and correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed.
• Rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Perform tank maintenance for spare tanks at plants in preparation for service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Cross-train to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed.
• Communicate proactively with Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers.

What you’ll do

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Able to identify and correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed.

• Consistently communicate proactively with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers as necessary.

What you bring

• Propane journeyman license required.
• 2-3 years propane/oil service preferred; HVAC.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
• CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement preferred.
• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

The hourly rate for this position is $35.00 - $40.00 per hour.
