Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking an experienced Service Technician for our Hallowell, ME location to perform propane service and tank installations. You will identify leaks and respond to customer emergencies, with on-call rotation in evenings and weekends.

The role requires 2–3 years propane/oil service experience, a High School Diploma, and a CDL Class A or B. We emphasize safety, training, and cross-training to assist with deliveries, with compensation ranging $30.00–$35.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years propane/oil service preferred; HVAC experience encouraged.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A or B license required.
• Legal Authorization to work in the US; no sponsorship in this or future openings.

Responsibilities

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Identify and correct leaks from tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed.
• Rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends.
• Perform tank maintenance, including spare tanks in plants.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Cross-trained to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed.
• Communicate proactively with Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers.

What you’ll do:

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Able to identify and correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed
• Rotate “on call” status during evenings and weekends as needed
• Perform tank maintenance spare tanks located in the plants in preparation for putting them in service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Will be cross trained to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed
• Consistently communicate proactively with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers as necessary

What you bring:

• 2-3 years propane/oil service preferred; HVAC
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• CDL Class A or B

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
