Job summary

Superior Plus Propane in Pittsfield, MA is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team. You will perform propane service, tank installation, inspect for leaks, and respond to customer emergencies while supporting deliveries as needed.

Requirements include a Massachusetts Gas Fitter's License and 2–3 years propane/oil service experience; CDL A/B or willingness to obtain within the first year; and a Propane Delivery License is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years propane gas/oil service preferred.
• Massachusetts Gas Fitter's License required.
• NH Gas Fitter's License preferred.
• CDL Class A or B or willingness to obtain within first year.
• Propane Delivery License preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.

Responsibilities

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Identify and repair leaks from tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed.
• Rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Perform tank maintenance and prepare tanks for service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed.
• Communicate with Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers.

WhatYou’llDo:

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Able toidentifyand correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed
• Rotate “on call” status during evenings and weekends as needed
• Perform tankmaintenancespare tanks located in the plants in preparation for putting them in service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Will becross-trainedtoassistwith bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed
• Consistently communicate proactively with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers as necessary

What you bring:

• 2-3 years propane gas/oil service preferred; HVAC
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• Massachusetts Gas Fitter's License Required
• NH Gas Fitter's License preferred
• CDL Class A or B or willingness to obtain within first year of employment in the position
• Propane Delivery License preferred
• Legal Authorization to work in the US isrequired. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 - 35.00 per hour.
