A leading company in Dallas is seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate to operate a propane forklift and manage inventory. This full-time, contract-to-hire position offers potential for permanent employment. Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant experience.
We are seeking a reliable and safety-consciousWarehouse Associateto join our team on acontract-to-hirebasis. This role involves operating a propane-powered forklift, handling inventory, supporting production, and ensuring accurate and timely shipments and receipts. Upon successful completion of the contract period, there is potential for permanent employment.
Safely operate a propane forklift at all times.
Pull and receive inventory into/from specific warehouse locations.
Handle inventory accurately, maintaining proper counts.
Report product, equipment, or forklift damage immediately to the supervisor.
Pull orders and receive products according to work orders and instructions.
Secure products using shrink wrap (manual or automated).
Brace and block shipments using hand or pneumatic tools.
Follow detailed process sheets for international shipments.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned warehouse aisles.
Participate in year-end inventory counts; overtime may be required.
Assist production with staging components.
Deliver/move items for the front office as requested.
Assist other departments and participate in warehouse rack or beam replacement as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience or training in safe forklift operation.
Ability to read and write in English to follow instructions and procedures.
Strong math skills for accurate measuring and counting.
Familiarity with automated inventory systems (barcode scanning).
Accurate, legible record-keeping.
Ability to use hand tools (e.g., hammers, nails, air hoses) for bracing loads.
Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Fit safely into and operate a forklift using gears and controls.
Sit, stand, lift, and remain active for long periods.
Bend, squat, kneel, balance, turn, stoop, reach forward and overhead.
Able to climb ladders when necessary.
High school diploma or GED required.
6 months to 2 years of relevant warehouse experience.
Prior warehouse safety training preferred.
