GDD Forklift Operator & Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a GDD Forklift Operator & Warehouse Associate. This role is essential to our daily operations, requiring proficiency in operating forklifts, picking and packing orders, and maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment within our Gentell Direct Delivery department. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

1. Forklift Operation: Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck, order picker) to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
2. Order Picking: Accurately pick customer orders according to pick lists or voice picking systems, ensuring correct items and quantities.
3. Packing & Shipping: Properly pack picked orders for shipment, ensuring items are secure and protected. Prepare shipping documentation and labels.
4. Receiving & Stocking: Unload incoming shipments, verify contents, and stock received goods in designated warehouse locations.
5. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation to maintain accurate records.
6. Warehouse Organization & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including sweeping, organizing shelves, and removing debris.
7. Quality Control: Inspect products for damages or discrepancies and report issues.
8. Other Duties: Perform additional warehouse-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

1. Valid forklift operator certification(s) relevant to the types of forklifts used.
2. Experience (typically 1-2 years) operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
3. Experience with order picking and packing processes.
4. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking systems is a plus.
5. Ability to read and interpret pick lists, packing slips, and other documentation.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
8. Ability to lift objects up to [Insert Weight Limit, e.g., 50 lbs] and stand/walk for extended periods.
9. Reliable, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
10. Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
