Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. in Missouri seeks an Energy Service Technician to safely deliver propane and refined fuels and perform installation and service tasks. You will work under the Energy Service Manager and participate in company training programs while providing excellent customer service.

The role involves factory training, on-site service calls, inventory control, and occasional travel. Exempt status applies and base pay is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in energy systems or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of propane, fuel and energy systems is an advantage.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs service related to propane and refined fuel installations following policy manuals.
• Maintains records and documents work orders; obtains customer signatures.
• Drives truck to deliver propane and refined fuel to customers.
• Replaces outdated propane regulators at customers' homes or businesses.
• Maintain inventory controls and conduct regular counts; report as required.
• Every Energy Department employee is in Sales and should generate outreach to prospective customers.
• Handles complaints promptly and completes regular activity reports.
• Maintains company equipment and performs routine maintenance.
