Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking an Energy Service Technician to perform propane and refined fuel installations and to provide safe, high-quality customer service. You will drive to customer sites, maintain records, and support sales activities while upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in energy systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of propane, fuel, and energy systems is an advantage.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with teammates at all levels.
• Ability to identify and address issues in a proactive manner.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and teammates.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Performs service related to propane and refined fuel installations.
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Drives truck to deliver Propane & Refined fuel to customers’ homes or places of business.
• Replaces outdated propane regulators at customers’ homes or places of business.
• Maintain inventory control measures to reduce losses and improve efficiency.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and report as required.
• Collects accounts from customers and records transactions on customer sales.
• All Energy Department employees are in Sales and should solicit new business.
• Handles complaints promptly.
• Completes regular activity reports.
• Maintains company equipment according to standards and performs routine maintenance.
