Job summary

Tri Gas & Oil Co. in Federalsburg, MD is hiring a Propane Delivery Driver to safely deliver propane to customer locations. The role requires a CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Achieve delivery objectives set by the local District Manager.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report problems per policy and DOT regulations.
• Safely drive propane delivery vehicle to customer locations.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service and Teamwork.
• Prior gas delivery experience is helpful
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions
• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers
• Flexibility to work outside of basic job description
• Provide excellent customer service and strive to succeed in a team environment

The Propane Delivery Driver position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations. This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service and Employee Teamwork. Making deliveries in all types of weather and conditions. Overtime is possible in the heating season.

DUITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for achieving delivery objectives set forth by the local District Manager. Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
• This position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to our customer locations.
• This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service and Employee Teamwork.
• Prior gas delivery experience helpful
• CDL Hazmat, tanker, and air brakes endorsements required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers
• Flexibility to work outside of basic job description
• Excellent customer service skills
• Desire to succeed and advance in a team environment

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check.
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from plant manager.
• Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a Hazmat endorsement and Tanker endorsement
• Minimum 2-year CDL license.
• Employees must be capable of frequently lifting 50 pounds

WORKING CONDITIONS

Driving a company vehicle. This job operates in the field, and you will be entering the customers’ homes and/or place of business. Working in hot attics or cold places must always provide an excellent and positive attitude toward the customer. While performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee is occasionally exposed to small working spaces, fumes, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions due to weather.
