InnoVision Marketing Group is seeking a detail-driven Proofreader to join our team as a full-time in-office role in San Diego. You will partner with creative, account service, and production teams to ensure every deliverable is polished, accurate, and client-ready across print, digital, and presentation materials.

The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, a strong command of grammar and AP style, and the ability to manage multiple reviews under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Prior proofreading, copyediting, quality control experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and AP style principles.
• Ability to review long-form and short-form content across multiple formats and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Proofread and quality-check creative materials across print, digital, and presentations
• Review spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, formatting, and brand standards
• Ensure accuracy of phone numbers, URLs, dates, pricing, and calls-to-action
• Verify consistency in tone, messaging, capitalization, spacing, and style usage
• Check layouts and visual alignment between copy and design
• Monitor revisions to ensure edits are completed correctly
• Support QA processes before materials are released or published
• Communicate corrections clearly with internal teams
• Maintain awareness of client-specific preferences and style guidelines
• Assist with final review of presentations, proposals, and outbound communications

This role is responsible for reviewing and quality-checking a wide range of materials across digital, print, broadcast, social media, presentations, websites, proposals, and client communications. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and takes genuine pride in catching the things others miss.

This is a critical role within the organization. The Proofreader serves as one of the final layers of quality control before work leaves the building.

What You’ll Do

As a Proofreader , you will work closely with creative, account service, media, digital, PR, and production teams to ensure all deliverables are accurate, polished, and client-ready.

Your responsibilities include:

• Proofreading and quality-checking creative materials across print, digital, broadcast, social, presentations, websites, and internal communications
• Reviewing spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, formatting, consistency, and brand standards
• Ensuring accuracy of phone numbers, URLs, disclaimer, legal copy, dates, pricing, and calls-to-action
• Verifying consistency in tone, messaging, capitalization, spacing, and style usage
• Reviewing layouts and visual executions for alignment between copy and design
• Checking revisions carefully to ensure requested edits were completed correctly
• Supporting quality assurance processes before materials are released or published
• Communicating corrections clearly and professionally with internal teams
• Maintaining awareness of client-specific preferences, standards, and style guidelines
• Assisting with final review of presentations, proposals, and important outbound communications

This role requires someone who can stay focused, methodical, and highly accurate in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and moving parts.

Experience & Skills

• Prior proofreading, copyediting, quality control, or related experience preferred
• Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and AP style principles
• Ability to review both long-form and short-form content accurately
• Comfort reviewing materials across multiple formats and platforms
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, PDFs, presentation decks, websites, and digital content environments
• Experience with AirTable management software is a plus
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
• Agency, publishing, media, or marketing experience is a plus
• Full-time, mandatory in-office role
• Ability to manage multiple reviews and deadlines simultaneously
• Occasional extended hours may be required during high-volume periods
