Customer Service
Promotion Terms | Remote | Full-time or part-time | 28.35–30.10 per hour
A customer sees an online offer and asks when it applies or where to find its published terms. The Promotion Terms Inquiry Assistant responds using current approved campaign information, records the question, and sends exceptions to the campaign owner. This is a remote marketing support role grounded in customer service and office administration. You will not create a discount, override an exclusion, or promise a price that the company has not approved.
An old email may still circulate after its end date. Check the campaign version, eligibility wording, and dates before replying. If a customer describes a code error, note the exact code and context under the employer's privacy rules, then refer the issue if the standard guidance does not resolve it. Do not ask someone to place another order simply to test a guess. If several people report the same confusing line of copy, flag the pattern to the marketing owner without rewriting the offer yourself.
The job is not about persuasion. A helpful reply tells the person what the published terms say and where the question requires specialist review. Keep a clean online record of the version consulted and the answer sent. If a customer asks about an existing order, use the order support path so the issue does not sit in a marketing inbox without an owner.
Experience in customer service, office administration, or marketing is useful, but not required. The employer will train you on its offer library, response rules, and escalation paths. You need clear written communication and enough care to distinguish a published fact from an assumption. Someone new to marketing can start here without sales experience.
This position is remote and may be part-time or full-time. A home office or similarly private workspace supports handling customer messages. The hiring team will confirm its schedule and tools.
An offer may be valid only for certain items or dates, while a customer's screenshot shows a broader headline. Read the approved terms and the version that applied when the customer saw the offer. Explain the published condition in plain language if it is clear. A request for an exception, a disputed charge or a promised discount from a separate conversation goes to the person empowered to decide it. Attach the relevant campaign reference to the customer service record so the next reply does not start from a different version of the promotion.
You will learn the employer's current offer library. If two approved pages disagree, flag that conflict before sending a confident answer. Clarity protects both the customer's expectation and the team's ability to correct confusing material.
If a promotion has ended, the customer may still need help with an order placed while it was active. Route that order-specific question rather than answering only that the offer is now expired. The date of the customer's transaction may matter to the specialist.
This work calls for careful use of current published terms.
An application may describe a time you explained a rule accurately without changing it to please someone. You can use examples from another field. Previous promotion management is not required. If shortlisted, you may be invited to finish an application on the hiring company’s website. The hiring company will explain the campaigns this role supports.
