Job summary

Ilocatum is seeking a Project Superintendent for a design-build bridge and heavy civil project north of Tampa Bay. This full-time, onsite role leads foremen and subcontractors, drives production, and owns safety, schedule, and budget in the field, working with FDOT inspectors and the owner's team.

Candidates should have 5–7+ years bridge experience on heavy highway projects and prior superintendent duties for bridges or interchanges.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of bridge experience on heavy highway projects.
• Experience as a superintendent on a bridge or interchange project.
• Working knowledge of FDOT contracts, specs and reporting.
• OSHA competent person certification.
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, or willing to relocate

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations on bridge and highway work.
• Schedule foremen, crews and subcontractors.
• Set production goals and ensure crews meet them.
• Plan work with the project manager and engineers.
• Own jobsite safety and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Coordinate with FDOT inspectors and owner’s team.
• Track quantities, production and field costs against budget.
• Maintain daily reports and field documentation

Location: North Tampa Bay / Hernando County, FL area (full time onsite)

An established heavy civil contractor is hiring a Project Superintendent for a design build highway and bridge job north of Tampa Bay. This is a strong opportunity for a Bridge Superintendent, Structures Superintendent or Project Superintendent who wants to run the field on a sizable job for a stable employer. You’ll run foremen and subcontractors, set production and own safety, schedule and budget in the field, much of it FDOT work. Tampa Bay and Central Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Run daily field operations on bridge and highway work
• Schedule foremen, crews and subcontractors
• Set production goals and hold the crews to them
• Plan the work with the project manager and engineers
• Own jobsite safety and act as the OSHA competent person
• Work directly with FDOT inspectors and the owner’s team
• Track quantities, production and field cost against budget
• Keep daily reports and field documentation current
• Coordinate material, equipment and deliveries

What We’re Looking For

• 5 to 7+ years of bridge experience on heavy highway and bridge construction
• Time as a superintendent running a bridge or interchange job
• Working knowledge of FDOT contracts, specs and reporting
• OSHA competent person
• Clean driving record
• Design build experience is a plus
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, or ready to relocate
