Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC seeks a Project Superintendent for a design-build bridge/highway project in the North Tampa Bay area, onsite full time. You will lead foremen and subcontractors, manage safety, production, schedule and budget, and work with FDOT inspectors.

Ideal candidates have 5–7+ years bridge experience, FDOT contract knowledge, and a track record as a superintendent on bridge or interchange work. Relocation to the Central Florida region is welcome.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years of bridge experience on heavy highway and bridge construction.
• Experience as a superintendent on bridge or interchange projects.
• Working knowledge of FDOT contracts, specs and reporting.
• OSHA competent person certification or equivalent.
• Clean driving record.
• Design-build project experience is a plus.
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on bridge and highway work.
• Schedule foremen, crews and subcontractors.
• Set production goals and enforce them with crews.
• Plan work with the project manager and engineers.
• Own jobsite safety and act as the OSHA competent person.
• Coordinate with FDOT inspectors and owner's team.
• Track quantities, production and field cost against budget.
• Keep daily reports and field documentation current.
• Coordinate material, equipment and deliveries.

An established heavy civil contractor is hiring a Project Superintendent for a design build highway and bridge job north of Tampa Bay. This is a strong opportunity for a Bridge Superintendent, Structures Superintendent or Project Superintendent who wants to run the field on a sizable job for a stable employer. You'll run foremen and subcontractors, set production and own safety, schedule and budget in the field, much of it FDOT work. Tampa Bay and Central Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.
