Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Project Superintendent for a design-build highway and bridge project north of the Tampa Bay area.

You will lead field operations, oversee foremen and subcontractors, and manage safety, scheduling, and budgets on-site in Florida. Ideal candidates have 5–7+ years of bridge experience on heavy highway work, FDOT contract knowledge, OSHA competence, and the ability to relocate to Tampa Bay or Central Florida if needed.

• Experience as a superintendent on bridge or interchange jobs.
• Knowledge of FDOT contracts, specs and reporting.
• OSHA competent person.

Responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on bridge and highway work.
• Schedule foremen, crews and subcontractors.
• Set production goals and hold the crews to them.
• Plan the work with the project manager and engineers.
• Own jobsite safety and act as the OSHA competent person.
• Work directly with FDOT inspectors and the owner's team.
• Track quantities, production and field cost against budget.
• Keep daily reports and field documentation current.
• Coordinate material, equipment and deliveries.

North Tampa Bay / Hernando County, FL area (full time onsite)

An established heavy civil contractor is hiring a Project Superintendent for a design build highway and bridge job north of Tampa Bay. This is a strong opportunity for a Bridge Superintendent, Structures Superintendent or Project Superintendent who wants to run the field on a sizable job for a stable employer. You'll run foremen and subcontractors, set production and own safety, schedule and budget in the field, much of it FDOT work. Tampa Bay and Central Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.

• Clean driving record
• Design build experience is a plus
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, or ready to relocate
