Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead a design-build bridge and highway project north of the Tampa Bay area. This full-time on-site role directs foremen and subcontractors, ensuring safety, scheduling, and budget adherence in the field.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of bridge experience, FDOT contract knowledge, OSHA competent status, and a willingness to relocate to Central Florida. Local Tampa Bay candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of bridge experience on heavy highway and bridge projects.
• Superintendent experience on bridge or interchange jobs.
• Working knowledge of FDOT contracts, specs, and reporting.
• OSHA competent person.
• Clean driving record.
• Design-build experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on bridge and highway work
• Schedule foremen, crews and subcontractors
• Set production goals and hold the crews to them
• Plan the work with the project manager and engineers
• Own jobsite safety and act as the OSHA competent person
• Work directly with FDOT inspectors and the owner's team
• Track quantities, production and field cost against budget

An established heavy civil contractor is hiring a Project Superintendent for a design build highway and bridge job north of Tampa Bay. This is a strong opportunity for a Bridge Superintendent, Structures Superintendent or Project Superintendent who wants to run the field on a sizable job for a stable employer. You'll run foremen and subcontractors, set production and own safety, schedule and budget in the field, much of it FDOT work. Tampa Bay and Central Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.
