Project Superintendent (Greater Tampa Bay Area)

Become part of a growing business in the exciting construction industry. R.E. Floyd Construction is a growing General Contractor and Construction Management Firm specializing in high-end community clubhouses, amenities, and commercial construction throughout the greater Tampa Bay, Ocala, Orlando, and Sarasota/Bradenton areas since 1984.

We are currently looking to fill the position of Project Superintendent. We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to grow with us and become a leader in their field. As a project superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing projects, overseeing subcontractors and vendors, material procurement, working with inspectors and municipalities, problem-solving, and customer management. If you are detail-oriented, like to solve the occasional puzzle, and love to put out a quality product, we have a great opportunity for you.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple construction projects daily
  • Schedule, manage and oversee subcontractors and suppliers
  • Work with customers and design professionals
  • Work with building officials and municipalities
  • Identify potential problems with plans and specifications and find a resolution
  • Procure materials for jobs from various suppliers
  • Resolve specification, selection and plan conflicts with design professionals
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all potential and existing customers
  • Perform all other duties assigned

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction
  • Proficient with Microsoft Platform (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with square foot and square yard dimensions
  • Knowledge of Geometry/Math
  • Data entry experience
  • Experience reading construction blueprints
  • Budget Management experience
  • Bidding and plan take-off experience
  • General Knowledge of residential and commercial construction
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Cooperative attitude
Position Details

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 7:00-4:00 Monday-Friday.

Please Note: This is a working superintendent role and traveling around Ocala/Tampa Bay/Sarasota area is required.

Compensation: Negotiable based on experience
