Job Summary

The Superintendent will be responsible for managing multiple site development and heavy civil construction projects throughout the Central Florida area. This position is responsible for supervision of projects including field workforce planning and scheduling, equipment and resource allocation, and ensuring safety and compliance of the jobsites.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for and manage daily construction activities and resources on assigned projects.
2. Scheduling of necessary labor and equipment resources required for optimum production and efficiency.
3. Manage, track, and document all work activities through appropriate reports, forms, etc.
4. Enforcement of company policies and procedures.
5. Monitoring of the project schedule and provide input on schedule updates/revisions.
6. Coordination and collaboration with company safety coordinator to always ensure a safe work environment.
7. Coordination and scheduling of subcontractors and other trades.
8. Accompany inspectors, officials, engineers, clients, etc. on inspections and site visits.
9. Provide general direction to crew supervisors and foremen. Implement corrective actions as necessary to improve upon efficiency and production.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of standard construction equipment and materials.
2. Knowledge of construction best practices, equipment operation and maintenance, and OSHA guidelines.
3. Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to others.
4. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
5. Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
6. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
7. 2 years of previous experience with a heavy civil contractor in a leadership role.
