Job summary

Arcadis in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Project Structural Engineer to support the design of water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects. You will lead structural design tasks, develop calculations and drawings, and collaborate across civil, mechanical, and process teams to deliver integrated solutions.

You will own defined design packages, advance your technical skills, and grow toward senior roles while contributing to resilient public infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 7 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.
• OSHA 10 Hr Training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis for water and wastewater infrastructure, developing calculations, drawings, and specifications for reinforced concrete, structural steel, and masonry systems.
• Evaluate existing structures and contribute to repair and rehabilitation strategies addressing aging facilities.
• Take ownership of defined structural design packages, manage scope and deliverables, and apply engineering judgment.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and process teams to prepare construction documents and support QA/QC.
• Support field implementation with submittals, RFIs, and site observations; assist contractors during execution.
• Contribute to proposals and project pursuits and participate in team coordination.
