Job description

VetsEZ is seeking an experienced remote Project Scheduler to manage and maintain project schedules for IT initiatives. The Project Scheduler will be responsible for collaborating with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders to develop, monitor, and update detailed schedules, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules for IT initiatives using scheduling tools like Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to define tasks, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Track project progress, update schedules, and communicate status reports to stakeholders.
  • Monitor resource allocation and flag potential conflicts or bottlenecks.
  • Conduct critical path analyses and provide recommendations to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Identify risks, delays, and work with project managers to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure schedules align with project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate regular scheduling meetings to gather updates, address changes, and refine plans.
  • Prepare schedule-related documentation and reports for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a project scheduler in a related industry.
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent software.
  • Strong understanding of IT project lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and resource planning.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal agencies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to dynamic project environments.
  • Ability to obtain government clearance.
