Job summary

McFarland Construction is hiring a Project Scheduler for our commercial construction team in Tulsa, OK. The ideal candidate will develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion, using scheduling software and CPM analysis, while collaborating with PMs, engineers, and subcontractors to optimize workflows and manage risks.

The role requires 3+ years in project engineering/management and a solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in construction project engineering or project management.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling tools.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather schedule inputs and update timelines.
• Perform critical path analysis and identify potential delays, recommending mitigation strategies.
• Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders through reports and dashboards.
• Integrate cost and resource loading into schedules to align with project budgets and workforce planning.
• Analyze changes to project scope and assess their impact on timelines and resources.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to track material delivery schedules.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules to ensure proactive project planning.
• Conduct schedule risk assessments and provide recommendations for maintaining project deadlines.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with contractual scheduling requirements.
• Assist in preparing claims and time impact analysis for delays, disruptions, and change orders.
