Job description

We are seeking a Project Scheduler to work for a major LNG client in Houston, TX, for a 4-6 month contract.

Develop, manage, and monitor project schedules to support management teams throughout the project development phases and during engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the EPC contract. Conduct forensic schedule evaluations, risk analyses, and submit recommendations to Lead Project Controls and Project Controls Managers.

Able to travel to project sites, headquarters, and/or Houston twice a month.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform scheduling tasks using Primavera P6 Professional, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. Manage CPM project schedules, variances, critical activities, and schedule reviews. Provide timely inputs and resolutions.
  2. Review contractor schedules, analyze data, develop status reports, and communicate issues or delays to management. Monitor milestones, progress payments, and verify earned values and progress measurement systems.
  3. Conduct 'What-ifs' scenario analyses.
  4. Collaborate with Contracts Manager on Change Orders, analyze delay claims, and evaluate schedule recovery and acceleration.
  5. Work with Risk Management on schedule impacts of risks using Monte Carlo simulations with Acumen Risk.
  6. Maintain 'Lessons Learned' logs, ensure schedule file backups, and organize schedule data.
  7. Maintain positive relationships with project teams, contractors, and clients.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned (up to 5%).
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience
  • At least 3 years in project scheduling, planning, and analysis within construction, with hands-on Primavera P6 experience.
  • Experience in Oil, Gas, Power, or LNG industries.
  • Experience as an Owner’s representative scheduler.
  • Experience in evaluating Earned Value Management metrics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of project management, construction techniques, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with forensic and delay schedule analysis tools like Acumen Fuse.
  • Understanding of schedule risk analysis and Monte Carlo simulations using tools like Acumen Risk.
  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage cross-functional schedule activities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, MS Project, and scheduling standards.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Project Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP).
Other Qualifications
  • Able to travel to project sites and headquarters approximately twice a month.
