Job summary

Rockwell Sterling is seeking an experienced project superintendent for the Greater Phoenix area to lead field operations on large water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

You will oversee subcontractors and site personnel, develop schedules, coordinate drawings and field activities, monitor costs, manage risks, and maintain safety and quality across the project, reporting to project management and ensuring OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of construction experience.
• Experience as a superintendent or field leadership role.
• Water/wastewater project experience (treatment plants, pump stations, underground infrastructure).
• Strong scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
• Ownership mindset to drive field operations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and schedule.

We are currently working with a well-established general contractor that is looking to add an experienced project superintendent to their team in the Greater Phoenix Area.

The Role

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of construction experience
• Previous experience as a superintendent or similar field leadership position
• Experience delivering water/wastewater projects (treatment plants, pump stations and underground utility infrastructure).
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
• Ability to take ownership of field operations and drive projects forward
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and schedule
