Job summary

Imperium Global is seeking an experienced Project Manager for water/wastewater construction projects in Texas. You will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with superintendents, owners, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver safely, on schedule and within budget.

The role requires strong knowledge of concrete, mechanical systems, process piping, and underground utilities, with proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Previous Project Management experience with a General Contractor or Water/Wastewater Contractor.
• Experience delivering water/wastewater infrastructure projects such as plants or pump stations.
• Strong knowledge of schedules, budgets, contracts, and subcontractor management.
• Experience managing projects through full construction lifecycle.
• Knowledge of concrete, mechanical systems, process piping and underground utilities is beneficial.
• Strong communication, leadership and client-management skills.
• Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or similar CM software.

Responsibilities

Job description

My client is an established Water/Wastewater General Contractor with a strong presence across Texas. Due to continued growth and a significant pipeline of upcoming projects, they are looking to hire an experienced Project Manager to join their team.

They specialize in the construction, expansion and rehabilitation of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and associated utility infrastructure.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing water and wastewater construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. You will work closely with Superintendents, owners, engineers, subcontractors and internal project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage water and wastewater construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, cost forecasting and overall financial performance.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout and contract administration.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Lead owner, engineer and subcontractor project meetings.
• Work closely with Superintendents and field teams to maintain project schedules.
• Coordinate major scopes including concrete, mechanical, process piping, underground utilities and equipment installation.
• Monitor project costs and identify potential risks before they impact project delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with municipal clients, engineers, subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure projects meet company standards for safety, quality and profitability.
• Support and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers where required.

Experience Required

My client is looking for candidates with:

• Previous Project Management experience with a General Contractor or Water/Wastewater Contractor.
• Experience delivering water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations or similar heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets, contracts and subcontractor management.
• Experience managing projects through the full construction lifecycle.
• Knowledge of concrete, mechanical systems, process piping and underground utilities is beneficial.
• Strong communication, leadership and client-management skills.
• Knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or similar construction management software.
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
