Job summary

HK Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own assigned projects and municipal programs from contract award through final acceptance and closeout. The role spans multiple service lines including CIPP rehabilitation and sewer cleaning/CCTV, with emphasis on scope, schedule, budget, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Based in De Moines, IA or other Midwest locations, you will coordinate stakeholders, manage change orders, schedules, and field operations, ensuring bid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field; or five or more years of equivalent project management experience.
• Three or more years managing field-based construction or service projects with budget and schedule accountability.
• Direct experience in at least one core service line (CIPP rehab or sewer cleaning/CCTV) and willingness to learn the other.
• Experience with public works contracting: plans, specs, bid docs, addenda, submittals, progress billing, change orders.
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans, profiles, and technical specs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel) and comfort with PM/cost tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary customer contact from notice to proceed through final acceptance.
• Lead project turnover from estimating; validate scope, quantities, unit prices, and contract terms.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate crew, equipment and materials with scheduling/ops.
• Manage project financials including budgets, cost codes, progress billings, and cost-to-complete forecasting.
• Prepare, negotiate, and document change orders, RFIs, and variations.
• Review submittals such as CCTV data, coating systems, bypass plans, and traffic control plans.
• Interpret CCTV data and NASSCO codes to validate scope and quantities.
• Coordinate permits, right-of-entry, road closures, and traffic control.
• Direct public notification efforts and attend public meetings as needed.
• Support safety with confined space entry and site hazards; conduct safety walks.
• Assemble closeout packages with as-built records and warranties.
• Track field productivity and provide feedback to estimators.
