Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead high-impact commercial construction projects across the Bay Area with strong MEP emphasis. The role includes ownership of schedules, costs, and teams, with a competitive pay package and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in construction-related field.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience.
• Strong estimating skills and understanding of building trades, especially MEP.
• Proficient in MS Office and scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera).
• Experience leading teams and managing multi-task projects in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle for commercial construction across the Bay Area, including schedules, quality control, and stakeholder communication.
• Lead pre-construction activities: site walks, RFPs, subcontractor bids, take-offs, constructability reviews.
• Oversee cost control: change orders, owner billings, invoices, financial close-out.
• Maintain document control: RFIs, submittals, logs, master drawings.
• Develop and monitor master schedules and rolling 3-week schedules; drive issue resolution.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and document minutes; mentor project teams.

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle for commercial construction projects across the Bay Area, including schedules, quality control, and stakeholder communication (owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors)
• Lead pre-construction efforts: coordinate job walks, prepare RFPs, analyze subcontractor proposals, generate bid tabulations, produce quantity take-offs, and contribute to constructability reviews
• Oversee cost control: track and manage change orders, prepare owner billings, route invoices, and execute financial close-out
• Maintain document control: manage RFI, submittal, and change order logs; update master drawing sets; distribute project documentation
• Develop, monitor, and update master schedules and 3-week rolling schedules; identify impacts and solutions
• Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings and participate in OAC meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes
• Supervise, mentor, and motivate project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Administrators
• Apply strong technical knowledge of building trades, methods, materials, and especially MEP systems to resolve field issues and review submittals
• Support safety initiatives, site-specific safety plans, and job hazard analysis
• Coordinate with estimating on budgets, bid review, and value engineering opportunities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships focused on long-term partnerships and excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related construction field
• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience
• Strong estimating skills and solid understanding of building trades, methods, and materials with emphasis on MEP systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Resourceful problem-solver with the ability to create and support team morale
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software (MS Project and/or Primavera), accounting systems, and estimating software
• Preferred: LEED AP; working knowledge of cGMP, GLP, advanced technology facilities, and best industry practices for design and construction
