Job summary

Convergint is hiring a Project Manager to lead complex, technically focused projects from award to close-out. You will direct planning, budgeting, procurement, and field installation while ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery and high customer satisfaction.

You will interface with customers and internal teams to manage scope, risk, and cost, while mentoring staff and driving process improvements across projects and programs.

Qualifications

• Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation, fire/life safety, AV).
• Coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; strong leadership orientation.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical skills to resolve problems and manage costs and schedules.
• Familiarity with IT networking concepts and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, scheduling, directing, budgeting and procurement for projects.
• Oversee field installation, start-up, and close-out for assigned projects.
• Interface with customers to maximize satisfaction, safety and quality.
• Manage subcontractors, labor, contracts and change proposals.
• Develop project plans, timelines and cost forecasts; monitor progress and cash flow.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining records.
