Job summary

BELFOR and BELFOR Franchise Group seek an entry-level Superintendent as part of the Project Manager path, with a restoration or construction focus. Candidates may qualify through BELFOR tracks or applicable industry experience.

Responsibilities include supervising residential and light commercial work, reading blueprints, coordinating crews, and keeping projects on time and on budget. Travel and nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Carry current IICRC ASD designation for Water Damage related work.
• Completion of BELFOR required New Hire Coursework.
• Certified to operate a Hi-Lo forklift.
• Experience as Intermediate Water Damage Specialist, Intermediate Carpentry, or Intermediate Fire Damage Specialist or equivalent.
• Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR policy.
• Sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• English language literacy and fluency.

Responsibilities

• Superintendents assigned to TPA program work must know program requirements and Xactimate estimates and budgets.
• Construction focus: plan, schedule work, communicate professionally, ensure safety and quality.
• Develop core project management capabilities: time management, budgeting, scheduling, site supervision, customer contact, communication, quality control, safety, documentation, and change orders.
• Maintain knowledge of current construction practices.
• Review daily project requirements, document progress and notify managers of progress and challenges.
• Provide field documentation, photo logs, graphs and sketches for various TPA projects.
• Perform skills related to prior intermediate roles.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Meet BELFOR standards in safeguarding property and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Attend BELFOR safety training courses as required.
