Job summary

Oates Associates, a 100% employee-owned civil and structural engineering firm, seeks a project manager focusing on building structural engineering to lead new buildings and renovations in the St. Louis area.

The role involves working with clients on expansions, repairs, renovations, and stand-alone buildings from $10k to $20M, ensuring design quality and timely delivery while mentoring junior staff. Hybrid work and professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering.
• PE license required; SE license is a plus.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or masonry design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of structural engineering software - RAM, RISA, Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead building structural engineering for new buildings and renovations.
• Collaborate with clients on expansions, repairs, and stand-alone buildings.
• Ensure design quality and timely delivery on projects from $10k to $20M.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the firm’s growth.
