Job summary

American Airlines is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Sr Project Manager to drive technology initiatives within the Next-Gen Operations Program at the DFW HQ. You will coordinate delivery, track resources, support staffing and onboarding for teams and contractors.

You will manage IT projects, ensure budget, schedule, and scope adherence, and use data analytics with PowerBI/SQL Server to monitor progress toward OKRs. A strong PM with Azure DevOps/JIRA/Rally experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training.
• 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager or similar in a software development environment.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Rally, JIRA or similar tools to manage IT projects in an Agile environment.
• 3+ years managing projects across SaaS, cloud, and related environments.
• 3+ years converting high-level business needs into system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drives automation and execution of key deliverables for timely implementation of strategic outcomes.
• Interacts with leadership to set direction and prioritize technology initiatives.
• Collaboratively creates product roadmaps and influences stakeholder expectations for new capabilities.
• Serves as a point of contact for Product Owners and IT partners to align actions.
• Builds processes to improve team efficiency and communicates status to stakeholders.
