Job description

North American Renewables (NAR) is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the successful execution of battery energy storage systems (BESS), and other renewable energy infrastructure projects. This position plays a critical role in delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, and is passionate about advancing clean energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead renewable energy construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and project closeout.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • Coordinate and communicate with site superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, owners, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Direct and support Assistant Project Managers in daily project activities and professional development.
  • Partner with the Director of Field Operations, Site Superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure inspections are completed on schedule and project milestones are achieved.
  • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, reports, and correspondence using project management software.
  • Lead weekly project meetings and provide clear communication regarding project status, risks, and action items.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, company policies, and contractual obligations.
  • Oversee procurement activities and coordinate material and equipment deliveries to align with project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate project records, logs, tracking systems, and reporting metrics.
  • Manage and oversee Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) compliance requirements in collaboration with internal departments.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and support field operations.
  • Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions to maintain project performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of project management experience in construction, renewable energy, or related industries.
  • Experience managing solar, battery energy storage, etc. is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in varying stages of construction and closeout.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management platforms such as Procore, ProjectSight, Trimble, or MS Project.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically to the Canton, MA office and active project sites.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment while maintaining strong project oversight.
