Job summary

North American Renewables is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to aid in delivering renewable energy projects, including battery energy storage systems and EV infrastructure. Job description

N North American Renewables (NAR) is seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of renewable energy projects, including battery energy storage systems (BESS), and EV infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging construction professional to build a career in the rapidly growing renewable energy industry.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of renewable energy construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Support project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking activities.
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and clients to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Manage and track project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.
  • Attend and help facilitate project meetings; prepare agendas, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
  • Assist with procurement and delivery coordination of project materials and equipment.
  • Maintain organized project files, logs, schedules, and tracking systems.
  • Participate in site visits to monitor project progress and assist in resolving field issues.
  • Support compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in construction project coordination, project management, or renewable energy projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in various stages of development and construction.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software such as Procore, ProjectSight, Trimble, or MS Project.
  • Experience with solar energy or battery energy storage projects is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically to the Canton, MA office and active project sites.
