Job summary

The Staff Pad is hiring a Project Manager for SFR turns and renovations in Chicago, IL. You will oversee residential turns and light renovations from intake through closeout, coordinating painters, floor workers, drywall, and other trades to deliver on time and within scope.

As primary liaison to vendors and clients, you will drive projects to completion, maintain timelines, report risks, and ensure quality with clear documentation and stakeholder updates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience in construction, renovation, or maintenance.
• Experience with Single-Family Rental (SFR) turns or institutional rental portfolios.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Vendor management including scheduling, accountability, and quality control.
• Knowledge of SFR turn scopes such as paint, flooring, punch work, landscaping, and light rehab.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliability in transportation and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee property turns and renovations from intake to closeout, including scope review, scheduling, execution, quality control, and invoicing readiness.
• Coordinate multiple trades (paint, flooring, drywall, trim, landscaping, punch work, minor plumbing/electrical).
• Maintain project timelines and communicate risks related to access, materials, or vendors.
• Source, onboard, and manage subcontractors and vendors across the market.
• Schedule crews, confirm start dates, and track project progress.
• Ensure vendors meet approved scope, pricing, quality, and timelines.
• Build and maintain a network of reliable, high-performing trade partners.
• Perform site inspections to verify quality and completion.
• Create and manage punch lists and document work with photos.

The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputedresidential and commercial roofing company, and we are looking to hire a ProjectManager to oversee residential turn & light renovation projections fromwork order intake through final close out, for their Chicago, IL location.

In this role, you will act as the primary liaisonbetween vendors, internal teams, and client stakeholders, you'll drive projects to successful completion by ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope,and to the highest quality standards.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

SFR Turns & Renovations

• Manageproperty turns and renovations from intake through closeout, includingscope review, scheduling, execution, quality control, and invoicing readiness
  
• Coordinatemultiple trades, including paint, flooring, drywall, trim, landscaping,trash-outs, punch work, and minor plumbing/electrical
  
• Maintainproject timelines and communicate risks related to access, materials, orvendors

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 3+years of project management experience in construction, renovation, ormaintenance

• Vendormanagement experience, including scheduling, accountability, and qualitycontrol

• Strongwritten and verbal communication skills
  
• Reliabletransportation and ability to travel locally
